Plan Information

Why Choose Delta Dental?

Delta Dental advantages
  • Affordable premiums
  • A choice of two great plans
  • Nationwide dentist network
  • FSAFEDS paperless reimbursement

We Have a Plan that’s Right for You

A dental plan helps you keep your teeth and gums healthy and minimizes the impact of unexpected expenses. There's a lot to consider when choosing the best plan for you. Federal employees, annuitants, and their eligible family members have a choice of two comprehensive dental plans from Delta Dental.

Delta Dental Federal Employees Dental Insurance Program

Delta Dental also now offers FSAFEDS paperless reimbursement of your Delta Dental claims. If you sign up for a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (HCFSA) and paperless reimbursement, FSAFEDS will automatically reimburse your eligible out-of-pocket-dental expenses directly to your checking or savings account via electronic funds transfer with little or no paperwork involved.

Compare Your Options with Delta Dental

Delta Dental offers Federal Employees the option of enrolling in either the Standard or High plan. Your out-of-pocket expense for procedures will be less with the High plan, but the premiums will be less with our Standard plan. With both options, there is no deductible and 100% of the costs are covered with basic services like exams and cleanings. Note the some Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) medical plans offer dental coverage and, per OPM rules, FEHB coverage will always be primary to Delta Dental’s coverage.

This is a brief description of services covered under the Delta Dental Federal Employees Dental Program. Do NOT rely on this chart alone. All benefits are subject to the definitions, limitations and exclusions set forth in the dental brochure.

*Some print versions of the 2017 Enrollment Brochure may incorrectly list the Standard Plan Out-of-Network deductible as $0. Please note the correct Standard Plan Out-of-Network deductible is $75.00, as shown in the above chart. Additionally, the “In Network” column under the High Plan was mislabeled “Self Only” in the same print versions of the brochure.
